INSIDE SALES & PURCHASING ASSISTANT

RESPONSIBILITIES:



*Greet and assist walk-in and telephone customers.


*Pull stock items and cut customer orders.


*Assist with procurement process including soliciting requests for quotation and issuing purchase orders.


*Assist with job cost estimating.


*Assist with multiple clerical duties including inventory counts, research, filing, and assisting other office personnel with daily tasks.




 


JOB REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

 

 

 

  *Professional appearance and ability to interact with customers and vendors in person as well as via telephone and email.

 

  *Experience in Metal Fabrication OR other Manufacturing Disciplines.

  

  *Ability to read blueprints. 

 

  *Attention to detail.

 

  *Strong organizational skills.

 

  *Ability to identify Carbon Steel, Galvanized Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel.

 

  *Basic computer literacy (internet, email, ERP).
 
 

 

 

 

PREFERRED SKILLS FOR THIS POSITION:


 

  *Purchasing experience.


  *Manual/CNC Machining experience.

    
  *CAD/CAM or other drafting experience.



 

 

 

 

Compensation based on skills and experience.

 


Hours are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday (upon satisfactory completion of on the job training.)
