Shipping Coordinator

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE:

 

 

   Pulling orders, packaging, and shipping. 

 

   Selecting appropriate boxes and packaging materials.

 

   Crating of larger fabricated items.

 

   Originating LTL freight shipments as needed.

 

   Completion of BOL and notification of carrier for pickup.

 

   Tasks relating to fabrication or other necessary tasks as directed by supervisor.

 

 

 

JOB REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

 

 

  *2 year minimum experience in shipping department.

 

  *Thorough understanding of packaging & shipping disciplines.

 

  *Experience in UPS Worldship software.
  
  *Excellent communication skills.

  *Strong attention to detail.

 

  *Fluent in use of tape measure and other measuring tools.

 

  
 

 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

   

  *Ability to read blueprints. 
 

  *Ability to identify Carbon Steel, Galvanized Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel.

 

 

Hours are 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Thursday, with possibility of occaisional overtime Fridays or Saturdays

 

 

Compensation based on skills and experience.
